Sanibona! We have all finally arrived safely in Durban after a lengthy journey. Our team of 21 members traveled in two groups which involved 30 to 37 hours of travel time! Once we all arrived, our Sunday began with a visit to the Lutheran church in Shongweni Village to worship with the local people. It was an honor to witness the inspiring service, partake in holy communion, and be surrounded by their beautiful singing. We also had an opportunity to meet the family we will be building a home for. Tomorrow we look forward to getting to know the family more and working along side them as we start their new home. Stay tuned to follow this amazing experience and learn more about how we spend our first official work day in the community. Our activities will include: Vacation Bible School, grief counseling, installing additional playground equipment, and laying the first bricks on the new home. Sizobonana!
